OpTek Systems, Abingdon, UK announces the successful transition of its Quality Management Systems to ISO 9001:2015, achieving accreditation in June 2017. This achievement consolidates OpTek’s commitment to excellence in the delivery of sub-contract laser processing services, the development of precision laser micromachining processes, optical fiber processing and the design, development, and build of production laser micromachining equipment.
“This certification is a testament to our strong focus on quality and an integral part of our continuous improvement culture, for which accreditation to ISO 9001:2008 has been maintained over many years,” said Steve Tyler, Engineering Manager at OpTek Systems. In September 2015, the International Organization for Standardization released the new revision of the ISO 9001 standard, giving ISO 9001:2008 certified organizations three years to transition. Steve added “in striving to meet the highest possible standards, we are pleased to have been able to achieve accreditation to the revised standard well within this time frame”
