Discover laser processing
for complex wire and device designs

As wires become finer and material systems more advanced, conventional mechanical stripping techniques can become increasingly difficult to control.

Fine and ultra-fine conductors are particularly vulnerable to damage during processing, while exotic coatings, multilayer constructions, and increasingly complex geometries can introduce further manufacturing challenges.

In this technical webinar, OpTek Systems will explore how laser-based wire processing provides a non-contact alternative, enabling engineers to remove, modify, or selectively process insulation and coatings with greater control over the finished feature.

What You’ll Learn

During this webinar, OpTek's laser processing specialists will discuss:

  • Why fine and ultra-fine wires are creating new stripping challenges
  • How non-contact laser processing differs from mechanical stripping
  • How laser parameters can be adapted to different materials and constructions
  • How precise windows and other complex geometries can be produced
  • How selective layer removal can enable more advanced component designs
  • Applications within biosensors and advanced medical devices
  • How OpTek develops and validates laser processes for customer components
  • When subcontract laser processing can provide an alternative to investing in production equipment

Attendees will gain a practical understanding of where laser processing can offer advantages and how to assess whether it is appropriate for their own application.
