WATCH ON-DEMAND WEBINAR
Join OpTek Systems for a deep dive into the future of laser processing in complex and confined environments. Whether you're working inside jet engines, nuclear reactors, or intricate pipework systems, our innovative miniature laser machining heads are transforming what’s possible — without the need for costly disassembly.
What You’ll Learn
In this exclusive session, you'll discover:
- How miniature MEMS-based and spinning optics laser heads work in spaces as small as 8 mm in diameter
- Integration strategies for robotic and manual manipulation systems
- Real-world deployment examples in aerospace and energy industries
- Insights from the Innovate UK COBRA project and remote robotic laser applications
Meet the Host

Mike O'Key
Fiber Processing Manager
Starting his work on laser development and applications in 1988, Mike was one of the first people to apply laser processing to the manufacturing of optical fiber components. With OpTek from the beginning Mike co-developed OpTek’s patented LaserCleave™ technology, and has continued to build OpTek’s IP portfolio through his work on laser processing of fiber optics. At home, Mike is introducing his twin daughters to the delights of vinyl records.
